David, Good work. I hate to sound so cliche but, What an adventure!! I just read your final report from the North Peninsula. You clearly are a fine young scientist, mentor and leader. Hoep you were able to enjoy a little Christmas in Argentina. Your work sound s fastenating. I look forward to reading more, although time for reading is at a premium for me these days. Just want you to know the Mountains in Vermont are covered in snow this year. We had three fine days over our holiday break here. Rollin and Chandler are on Ski Team this year, which will keep us driving most of every weekend thru March. May the Spirit be with you and keep you safe in all your endeavors - Good luck and the Best of Science to you - Steve

Thank you for all the messages we have been receiving! Unfortunately we have had multiple spammers out there submitting lots of spam. I have added a small security to see if this helps keep them away on the "sign the guestbook" page. Thanks!

Hello, Team Barbeau! And goodbye- yes, very sad. The Laurence M Gould just departed station after a wonderful port call and amazing performances at the Variety Show last night. It was very fun meeting fellow Carls again- my third random meeting with Carleton Alumni in the Antarctic. After talking with you and your students about your project, and having majored in Physics, it was my first pang of jealousy about being a Geology Major. It's never too late, though! Safe travels and good times on your trip north. I am excited to see the results from your work on the peninsula, and I hope we meet again.

Good Afternoon Dave: I have the privilege of celebrating mass at the parish of your beautiful mother, Gerry. She is also a regular participant at the Scripture-Spirituality Seminars that I conduct at the Genesis Spiritual Life Center in Westfield, MA. Your mother is so proud of you and your accomplishments. She sent me your website and I am amazed at what you and the team are undertaking. I will continue to follow your adventures. I pray that you will be safe and successful in all your work.

What a great project, and web site! I especially like the wonderful pictures such as the seascapes and the rocks with the moisture wicking along the cracks. Good luck on the project and happy (and safe) sailing!
