Each week we added a new color layer to our ice core to represent
the weather in South Carolina. This gives us a record of climate change over 6
weeks!!
What is a Glacier?
A glacier is a huge mass of ice that forms over a land mass. It forms from compacting snow in an area where snow accumulation exceeds melting and sublimation.
Where are Glaciers Found?
Glaciers are found at high latitudes. Also at high altitudes, i.e. mountains
