Emphasis area in Environmental Geosciences

Environmental Geosciences is one of the rapidly expanding areas within the Department of Geological Sciences. The area includes disciplines that deal with aspects of the atmoshperic, earth, coastal and ocean environments. In particular our faculty areas of research are: physical, chemical and geological oceanography, coastal and estuarine processes; geochemistry; hydrology; hydrogeology; geomorphology; palynology & paleoecology; contaminant transport mechanisms and characteristics and remediation techniques.

Below are the faculty involved in research pertaining to Environmental Geosciences and their area of expertise.  Hyperlinks to their personal and lab homepages are included as well.
