2007 USC Scholarships in the GEGEO Program
 


Fortunata Mikue

Santiago Esono

Fortunata Mikue
Fortunata began her first year at UNGE in the geosciences program in 2005. She was an Honorable Mention Winner at UNGE in 2006 and earned a USC scholarship in 2007.  She began her studies in the USC English Program for Internationals (EPI) in August, 2007 and currently is pursuing her Bachelor of Science degree program in Geological Sciences at USC.

Santiago Esono
Santiago began his first year at UNGE in the geosciences program in 2004. He was an Honorable Mention Winner at UNGE in 2006 and earned a USC scholarship in 2007. He is presently enrolled in the USC English Program for Internationals (EPI) and will  continue his Bachelor of Science degree program in Engineering at USC beginning in the spring semester of 2008.

Mauricio Mbomio


Daniel Nguema

Mauricio Mbomio
Mauricio was a Honorable Mention Winner at UNGE in 2005 and earned a USC scholarship in 2006. He took the TOEFL test in Cameroon in May 2006 and finished his second year in the Geosciences program at UNGE in June 2006.  He began his studies in the USC English Program for Internationals (EPI) on October 2006, and currently is pursuing the B.S. degree program in Mechanical Engineering.  Mauricio was named to the Dean’s list in recognition of his academic work during the spring semester of 2006

Daniel Nguema
Daniel  was a 2005 Honorable Mention Winner at UNGE and earned a USC scholarship in 2006. He took the TOEFL test in Cameroon in May 2006, and finished his second year in the Geosciences program at UNGE in June 2006. Daniel started his studies in the USC English Program for Internationals (EPI) on October 2006, and is currently pursuing the B.S. degree program in Civil Engineering. Daniel was named to the Dean’s list in recognition of his academic work during the fall semester of 2007

Ignacio Motobe Bosaho


Rosendo King Riloha

Ignacio Motobe Bosaho
Ignacio finished his second year at UNGE in the Geosciences program in June 2005 and earned a USC scholarship the same year. He arrived in the U.S. on August 2005. Currently he is in his 5th semester of course work with a major in Geology. He has indicated interest in pursuing an MS degree. Ignacio completed an internship with Marathon in Malabo during the summer of 2007.

Rosendo King Riloha
Rosendo finished his second year at UNGE in the Geosciences program in June 2005. He earned a USC scholarship in 2005 and arrived in the U.S. on August of the same year. He began his B.S. degree program in geological sciences in the spring semester of 2006 and hopes to pursue an MS degree following graduation in Geophysics. Rosendo was named to the Dean’s list in recognition of his academic work during the spring semester of 2006, and maintain a strong GPA average through his fifth semester of study.

 José Manuel Bacale Ndong Bindáug


Jorge Botala Boloso

José Manuel Bacale
José Manuel finished his first year at UNGE in the geotechnical engineering degree program in June 2004 and earned GEGEO 2004 scholarship. Currently he is in his 8th semester of course work with a major in Geophysics. He is working in his senior thesis with Professor Camelia Knapp. During the summer 2007 he had an internship with Noble Energy in Houston. Jose Manuel will be graduating in the fall of 2007. He has indicated interest in pursuing an MS degree.

Jorge Botala
Jorge finished his first year at UNGE in the geotechnical engineering program in June 2004 and earned GEGEO 2004 scholarship. He finished his 7th semester of course work with a major in Geology. During the summer of 2007 he went to  old Cañon City to do field work.  Jorge aspires to work in the oil industry in Malabo.
