Emphasis area in Global Climate Change 


Our department has strong expertise in oceanography, paleoceanography, low temperature geochemistry and coastal processes that make up the core of this emphasis area.  Minimization of and adjustment to global climate change will continue to be a critical field of study in the geosciences in the coming decades.
