Research Assistant Professor in Geophysics - Posted February 8, 2012
We seek a geophysicist with interests in wave propagation in complex media and the application of seismic interferometry to deep earth imaging. As a research position, the successful candidate will be expected to generate his/her salary.
Degree requirements: PhD in Geophysics or Electrical Engineering. Postdoctoral experience preferred.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Start date: August 16, 2012

Assistant Professor in Aqueous Geochemistry/Biogeochemistry - CLOSED
The Department of Earth and Ocean Sciences invites applications for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in aqueous geochemistry or biogeochemistry. We seek an individual with outstanding research and teaching capabilities and broad interests related to the ways in which geochemical and biogeochemical processes mediate chemical exchange between the hydrosphere, lithosphere, and biosphere. Areas of interest may include characterization of natural systems over long (geologic) and short (environmental) time scales and the influences of climate change and human activity on elemental cycling.

The University of South Carolina is seeking a creative and outstanding leader for the position of
